Kitsap Bank recently presented a $24,035.62 donation to Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County as part of the bank's commitment to creating more affordable housing in our community. The total represents proceeds from a month- long fundraising campaign, as well as corporate contributions from the bank's Community Connections Program. The check was presented at Kitsap Bank's edg3 FUND small business competition, where Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap was the featured non-profit. The donation will help support Habitat in building homes for families in need in Kitsap County.

"Kitsap Bank is proud of our tradition of community involvement, which spans more than a century," stated Steve Politakis, CEO. "As the community bank, we believe it is our role to invest and help our local non-profits enhance our quality of life."

This donation is one of many commitments made to the local Habitat for Humanity Affiliates by Kitsap Bank this year. During the month of September, all branches and departments at Kitsap Bank raised funds for their local Habitat for Humanity. In just one month, Kitsap Bank and its customers raised nearly $20,000 for local Habitat For Humanity organizations. Combined with the bank's corporate donations, Kitsap Bank contributed over $42,000 in 2017 to Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam and Pierce counties.
